Housing Sales in Izmir Increased by 117.1%

According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the number of housing sales in Izmir, which was 3,298 in January 2024, increased by 117.1% to 7,159 in January 2025.

In Turkey overall, housing sales increased by 107.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 122,768 in January.

1,853 Houses Sold for the First Time in Izmir
The number of houses sold for the first time in Izmir increased by 116.0% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 1,853. The share of first-time sales in the total housing sales in Izmir was 25.9%.

5,306 Second-Hand Homes Changed Owners in Izmir
Second-hand housing sales in Izmir increased by 117.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 5,306. The share of second-hand housing sales in the total housing sales in Izmir was 74.1%.

1,884 Mortgaged Homes Sold in Izmir
The number of mortgaged housing sales in Izmir increased by 155.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 1,884. Of the homes sold in January, 26.3% were mortgaged.
